hourThese savoury biscuits are easy to make and are extremely delicious. Cheese is the main ingredient. These savoury delights can be served at family functions and they go well with a cup of coffee or tea. They hold well if stored in a sealed container.
Ingredients
3 eggs (1 egg yolk used for biscuit brushing)
250 g salted pure butter
1 cup milk (full cream)
1 cup olive oil
2 cups parmesan cheese
1 kg self-raising flour
1 tablespoon salt
sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Add salted butter into a mixer bowl and begin mixing process over high speed.
- Add salt, olive oil and continue mixing process over high speed.
- Allow mixture to combine adding milk.
- Separate egg yolks and egg whites.
- Slowly combine egg yolks.
- Stop mixing process, adding parmesan cheese and continue mixing process over high speed.
- Beat egg whites until they turn into a thick texture.
- Slowly add egg whites into the mixture and continue mixing process over low speed.
- Stop mixing process and slowly combine the flour into the mixture.
- Mix through thoroughly adding flour until the mixture comes together.
- Use a drinking glass cut out biscuit shapes (as demonstrated in our video demonstration: 3:05-3:30).
- Place biscuits onto a baking tray (lined with baking paper).
- Lightly brush egg yolk over biscuits (adding sesame seeds – optional).
- Bake biscuits at 180-C for 60 minutes or until biscuits turn golden brown.
