Topped with glazed cherries, walnuts or almond flakes. These biscuits are a different take from the classic meringue macaroons more delicate in texture. These biscuits are very popular and can be found in many Greek bakeries. If you want to try something quick and easy then these delights will impress.Ingredients500 g shredded coconut 3 eggs 1 cup caster sugar1 cup melted butter (unsalted) ½ cup self-raising flour 1 shot ouzoChocolate flavoured macaroons2 tablespoons drinking chocolate1 tablespoon melted butter1 tablespoon hot waterMacaroon toppings glazed cherries (green/red) walnuts almond flakesInstructionsPreheat oven to 180* C.Add 3 whole eggs to the mixer and beat thoroughly.Add shredded coconut and mix through thoroughly.Add caster sugar, melted butter, flour and mix through thoroughly.Make ball-shaped macaroons and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
